Born and raised in Munich, Germany, Monika Suhnholz has proudly called Austin home for more than three decades. She fell in love with the city’s vibrant culture and the warmth of the Texas community, making it the perfect place to grow both personally and professionally.
Since launching her real estate career in 2005, Monika has become one of Austin’s most trusted real estate advisors. She is consistently ranked among the top 3–5% of Coldwell Banker agents worldwide, is a Global Luxury Agent, and a Certified Relocation Specialist. For the past ten years, she has also been a proud member of Platinum Top 50, a recognition of her leadership and impact in the industry.
Her success is rooted in her strong work ethic, upbeat approach, and ability to quickly understand and anticipate her clients’ needs. With deep roots in both Europe and the U.S., Monika is especially attuned to the needs of international clients relocating to Central Texas. Her commitment to providing exceptional service has earned her a loyal client base locally and abroad.
Before real estate, Monika built a career defined by excellence in customer service. After earning her degree in hotel management, she worked at the prestigious InterContinental Hotel in London and the iconic Vier Jahreszeiten Hotel in Munich. In 1997, she became the General Manager of Austin’s first professional men’s soccer team and was named Executive of the Year by the United Soccer League in the team’s inaugural season. She also made history as the only woman to serve on the League’s Executive Committee.
Beyond real estate, Monika is passionate about giving back. She proudly supports organizations such as the 4ATX Foundation, Soccer Assist, Austin Angels, LifeWorks, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and various other nonprofits that make a difference for children and families.
She and her husband, Joe Thesing, enjoy cheering on Austin FC, exploring Austin’s live music and theater scene, and staying active through running and outdoor fitness. At home in Northwest Austin, they share life with their beloved dog, George.
